CSCI Press release
Charles Street Finance Holdings Limited (‘Charles Street’) is delighted to announce that, on Monday 22 July 2024, Charles Street Commercial Investments Limited (‘CSCI’) entered into a new Senior Secured Facility Agreement (‘the Facility’) that will both increase and extend the maturity profile of CSCI’s existing funding line.
The Facility will permit Charles Street to deliver its medium term growth strategy by continuing to focus on underserved segments of the UK secured property loan market.
Charles Street will continue to focus on providing bridge finance, development finance and term debt to property owners, property professionals, property landlords, property developers and UK based SME’s.
The business’s plan is to continue to grow its loan book by developing deep, long lasting relationships with its clients by providing competitively priced, bespoke products backed up by speed of delivery, good old fashioned values and common sense relationship lending.
CSCI is particularly delighted to welcome Shawbrook Bank as a new funding bank. Shawbrook Bank joins Castle Trust Bank, Insight Investment, Lloyds Bank, and NatWest Bank.
On signing the Facility, CSCI Director, Stephen Lewis said:
‘We have known of Shawbrook’s reputation in the property and wholesale funding markets for a long time, both in terms of their expertise and flexibility. We are very pleased to be working with their Speciality Finance team on this new funding line.
We are equally delighted to continue the long standing, excellent relationship we have built with Lloyds Bank who are taking this opportunity to increase their commitment under the facility, and delighted to have the continued support of Castle Trust Bank, Insight Investment, and NatWest Bank, the latter two having supported CSCI since its loan market debut in 2018.
During the due diligence process all our funders took time to develop a deep understanding of our business and we view their continued support as a positive endorsement of our people, our business strategy and our plans for the future.
We look forward to working with these key stakeholders and are committed to ensuring our relationship with each is transparent, well informed and deepens over time’
James Hill, Director at Shawbrook, said:
“Like Shawbrook, Charles Street Finance has a strong relationship-driven approach with sector expertise and speed of decision as key differentiators. This excellent fit has naturally led to our joining their group of funding banks and we look forward to seeing the business grow as it goes from strength to strength.”
